i used the code for a scrollbox [one inside another] but only the letters come out.. i want to put pictures inside one srollbox and text out of that one but still inside the other one

I found ONE at diamond-webdesigns.com, copied and pasted the code, and it worked....sort of. All my pics and stuff are there but most of the text has become invisible in the interests, basic info, friend comments and a few other areas. Only when you move the mouse over the area can you see the words...they highlight when the mouse hits them and then vanish again when you point elsewhere...i dont know if it was just a bad code they provided or what but i love the background and i really wanna have it.

(1) Most likely Symbien or Windows Mobile [on your phone]

(2)The Email server most likely Unix / Linux maybe Windows

(3)Your System when you got the Email most likely Mac / Windows

(4)What ever Opersing System is used on Myspace, most likely Linux / Unix.

The second part to your question doesn't make sense, but i will guess that what your saying is that how does Javascript upload the image to the MySpace account ?

The easy answer is that it simply sends the file. The JavaScript does not rewrite it. I actual fact in the case of MySpace they appear to be using a ColdFusion Server Adobe/Macromedia and so they will be using this rather than Javascript.

and then you can tile or center the image depending on how big it is. You can choose your table colors, how opaque you want them, outlining of the tables--all text color and font

I believe some ppl have blocks on those. So maybe that's why it's not working. Other's however don't have blocks so that's why you can put the BOLD on other comments.

What is wrong with my MySpace page? It has replaced all the " i "s with " .. "s.

I went to update my Music profile and found that it has disabled all codes on my page. It has replaced every "i" with ".." so you can imagine what has happened. Every single letter " i " in code and in text (just plain words) has been changed. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Has someone hacked my page? Is this just a temporary thing? What the hell's going on?

okay i'm starting a layout site, and as you know your layout codes have to go in text area boxes but every time i put the code in it squshes the layout code together then it doesn't work any more can you please help me solve my problem?? =]]]

If it is in a blog, then do the whole

and then save the blog. then when you view it there should be an empty box, but there may be some random text in it.

You then go to edit the blog and in the actual place where you edit the blog there'll be a box rather than the textarea tags. Remove any text if there is some, and then paste your codes.

Now, you might be having a problem I often have when all line breaks disappear when you edit the blog again. The only solution to this is that you don't continually edit the same blog. If you have screenshots of your layouts then put the code in a blog of its own and have a link to that blog under the screenshot, same with all your other layouts on the page. BUT your codes should still be okay and work if they're scrunched up.

HTML and CSS also get scrunched up if you do it in a textarea on a profile (if your site provides live previews, but this does mean setting up numerous myspace accounts), but it still shouldn't effect your coding.

My final solution, and probably most useful, is that you get an account on mylayouthost.com. It's easy, free, MySpace layout preview. However, I do not use it for live previews for layouts on MySpace because it doesn't always look that same as it does on a proper MySpace (due to myspace continually changing it's html and css values) of the coding (Like if i use a code to make the top navy bit white, it is still navy on there) and it removes some other elements, such as I have a credit link in the top left corner which is removed on there. But it's easy and good if your layouts areant really really complex. %26amp; you link to the layout from your blog.

Oh, I had another idea!

Get and account on freewebs.com, and when you edit your pages, put a textarea there and put your code in it. I use an advanced (HTML) site though so I don't know how to work the basic ones. Link it from your blog.

That depends on what browser your using. In general, somewhere up on your browser menue, like tools or options, there should be like an "internet options" tab. from there you can find a place where it'll say something like "clear search history" or clear saved feilds or something like that.

just go to any my space layout site and they will have a friends scroll bar or box, copy and paste it to your profile and your all set

A scroll bar is that skinny bar to the right of any web page with the up and down arrows, and along the bottom with the side-to-side arrows. If you mean a comments box , where people can send you messages, pictures etc, most layouts have those as well (though some users keep their comments hidden so their background shows through, or the comments are too personal for just ANYBODY to read). did you try putting it into an actual myspace profile, posting the code will help.

If the code appears alone, it is because there is an error at the beginning of your code that does not tell the browse what type of coding you are using.

if the background appears, it may be because you are not putting the code to use, for instance, the code says what to do with a table, (make it black for instance) but if there is not table, nothing will happen, try posting into a myspace profile, and getting back to me.
