Friends have just... dropped me!?

I know this may seem like an immature question, but I'm seriously sad about it, and I need some help. Ever since I've gotten married, my friends have just... dropped me. NONE of them ever call me anymore, and when I try to call them, I just get their voicemail. I leave a message, but they never call me back. I text them, try and see if they want to hang out, but they never text me back.

I go and look at their MySpace pages, and they all still talk to each other, but none of them ever comment me anymore or anything. It's very depressing! I have talked with my husband about it, and he thinks I should show up one day and surprise them with a visit or something. If they seem uninterested, he thinks I should just move on. But...

These are the same friends I've had since middle school. I don't understand what would make them do this. I'm very confused.

I think it's really sad when you've been friends with someone for a long time, only to grow up and find that this friend or these friends just don't wanna talk to you anymore.

I don't know why they would be treating you like this, but maybe you should ask them. You can ask someone else to talk to them and find out if you don't think they'll be straight forward with you. Are these "friends" married? Perhaps they feel that you "sold out" by getting married. Were they at the wedding? Did you invite them if they were not there?

I don't think you should pay a visit unless you are prepared to see rejection be thrown in your face again. If nothing else works, maybe you need to find new friends. It could be a misunderstanding or maybe they started talking behind your back, which in this case they're not even worth your time.

Hi! Before I answer this could you email me? I saw a question you posted in marraige and divorce about porn, please email me... I see you deleted the question...

Now, perhaps they know something about your husband, perhaps his porn habit? did he hit on one of them during the wedding? I think they must have some reason they don't want to be around... do they know something you don't? Find out! or, are they all single, and not married? perhaps they don't want to intrude...

Something is wrong but I dont know what. Maybe they do not like your husband, maybe they think you have changed, maybe they dont want to get in the way of your relationship- feel like they are/would, there are sooo many possibilities. His idea of just showing up is one thing to try. What do you leave on the messages that you leave them??? If you are always getting the voicemail and never a response that seems like a big hint but not necessarily. People often do not respond even to former close friends that are no longer available to them at all times- sad but true.

Anyways I wish you luck

Friends have just... dropped me!?

It's not an immature question. It actually happens quite often, whether in your teen or adult years. I've had some friends myself that decided to drop me as their friend but don't give me no explanation. I am not mad about the lost friendship just confused as to what the problem was since everything seem so normal, no arguments, we had family BBQ's, our kids were friends, etc. It gets annoying, I mean as the year passes I know people drift apart, especially with friends who live out of state, but for those in the same city, and where you would randomly still see them around it just makes it awkward and annoying. You call, you talk, then soon after they start to avoid you.

I've learned to accept it. Don't need people like that in my life that can be honest about their feelings. If I were to encounter any of those friends that decided to drop me with no explanation I would love to confront them get a straight answer from them so I get closure. From what I can tell from those people they might just end up lying through their teeth and act like nothing happened.

Friends have just... dropped me!?

its life...it happened to me...all my friends hated my fiance and then we stopped talkin...it hurts but to me... my fiance is the only friend i will ever need

Friends have just... dropped me!?

It sounds kinda odd your friends suddenly turned cold... But I guess you have tried many attempts to establish communications to them... If you're the only one who's putting a major part on this relationship, then it's not a true friendship - its give and take.... They're not your true friends.

Its hard though to find true friendship in this world. Well, you cant really change people action and people do change over time. No matter how much it hurts us - yeah, it's part of life and we've learn how to deal with it. I've been going through some rough time this year and I've learned ALOT what true friendships means to me. Best of luck to you!
