Because somewhere in the layout's code the font size is already set. Try lookin through the entire layout code and finding a font size specification. Then change it.

Probably because you already have a font set for your Myspace page with your CSS code. Copy and paste your entire layout into a program such as Word and press Ctrl+F, enter 'font size' into the search bar to find where it's altering it and increase the number to increase the font.
